Es war, als ich gerade 8 Jahre alt war – im Jahr 1978. Zwei Musiker – Bruce Springsteen und Patti Smith arbeiteten in angrenzenden Studios an ihren Alben. Darkness On The Edge Of Town und Easter. Man sitzt rum, trinkt was und tauscht sich aus. Bruce hat ein paar Songs komponiert, die zu Patti (und ihrer Group) passten. Because the night – latinorockartig beinhaltete es die Klage eines Arbeiters. Aber irgendwie hat das Lied wohl nicht so recht zu Darkness On The Edge Of Town gepasst.
